Brief:
Zara and Sam, aged 35 and 40 respectively, seek assistance in renovating their recently purchased three-bedroom house. Sam owns a solar energy solutions company and Zara is a Graphic Designer. Zara uses forearm crutches due to a congenital joint condition and uses forearm crutches so requires a home that accommodates her mobility challenges while still reflecting their style.
 
The design objective is to create an inclusive, contemporary and functional living space with an open and comfortable feel that enables Zara to move independently. The house layout includes two bedrooms for the couple and a third to be converted into a home office. Structural changes are limited to internal walls, windows and doors with external walls remaining unchanged. The budget is unspecified, urging a mindful approach for a mid-level cost range that balances quality and cost while considering overall project expenses.
