Concept: Animator's Sketchbook

Brief:
Interior Design Collab is an opportunity for 2nd and 3rd-year Vega Interior Design students to work in predetermined teams to develop and execute innovative and meaningful solutions for real-world Interior Design challenges. This year, the Tshimologong Precinct (affiliated with Wits University) represented the Collab client and each team was assigned a different area of the building for redesign.

The Tshimologong Precinct is home to the annual Fak’ugesi Fesitival which acknowledges and celebrates the connection between African cultural practices and creativity. The Mollo Animation Academy and Studio, integrally involved with the festival and housed within Tshimologong, required a revamp to inspire and emulate the creative work of its students and animators.
